Letter from the Director

Introducing “Past Presented” by Hugh King

The East Hampton Historical Society is thrilled to announce “Past Presented,” a podcast series presented by Town and Village Historian Hugh King. During each segment, Hugh shares a short snippet about East Hampton’s history. You can link to the inaugural segments below.

You can hear Hugh describe the Goody Garlick witchcraft trial, a few of the historic buildings on Amagansett’s Main Street, and Edward Morford, a police officer who was appointed chief soon after East Hampton Village was incorporated.

Sign up for the Historical Society’s E-Newsletter to keep apprised about future segments of “Past Presented.” A huge thank you to Hugh King for sharing his knowledge and inspiring so many people to learn about East Hampton’s history, and thanks to East Hampton Library for the use of their Podcast Studio.
