LVIS 33rd Annual Landmarks Luncheon

At this year’s Landmarks Luncheon, noted architectural conservator, preservationist, and former NYC Landmarks Preservation Commissioner Michael Devonshire will present “The Good Fight: Why We Preserve our Heritage.” Exploring the cultural, environmental, economic, and anthropological advantages of historic preservation, Michael will share insights that apply both locally and globally to inspire and engage us in the ongoing fight for historic preservation. His lecture will be followed by a lunch in the beautiful oceanfront setting of the Maidstone Club. Luncheon proceeds will fund future preservation projects under the aegis of the Landmarks Committee of the LVIS, which for more than 50 years has helped maintain East Hampton’s heritage and supported historic-preservation efforts within the town, notably as a driving force behind the creation of the East Hampton Village Historic Districts.
