During the 2025 House & Garden Tour fundraiser on the weekend after Thanksgiving, the East Hampton Historical Society had a lot to be thankful for…

We are very grateful to the generosity of the five homeowners who allowed us to feature their houses on the Tour this year. Thanks to Lucy and Steve Cookson for hosting the kickoff party in their historic home. We really appreciate The Agency for serving as this year’s Presenting Sponsor.

The Historical Society is very grateful to work closely with our County, Town, and Village partners and a huge thank you to County Legislator Ann Welker, Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, and Mayor Jerry Larsen for their support.

Thank you to the nearly 40 volunteers who served as docents at each of the houses, welcoming patrons and helping to inform them about the properties.

Thanks and kudos to Diane Merritt at the Historical Society who made this year’s House Tour and cocktail party run so smoothly.

A huge thank you to our Special Events Committee chaired by Dale Leff, and including Jim Blauvelt, Debbie Druker, Lys Marigold, Amy Tarr, and Sarah Wetenhall. They invested hundreds of hours planning and executing the House Tour.

And finally, thank you to everyone who generously purchased tickets and supported the House & Garden Tour. This year, we exceeded our income projections by over 20%. With the skyrocketing costs of preserving our 5 historic properties, that extra 20% is vital for our continued success.
