Summer Camp

Thank you for your interest in our summer program.

Our small, educational day camp operates from 9 am to 2 pm at the East Hampton Town Marine Museum in Amagansett, NY. We study marine science, environmental studies, art and maritime history.

Ages 6-15

Marine Camp is an educational marine and environmental studies
program in which students spend the morning at the Marine Museum
exploring art, science, and history with a daily walk to the ocean for
some fun in the sun and water.

Carving Sessions with Grain Surfboards

Ages 6-15

The East Hampton Historical Society and Grain N.Y. will
explore the cultural history of woodworking using hand tools
and traditional woodworking craft to create unique skate boards
and varied hand carved and crafted works of art. This camp will
include some of the traditional aspects of our summer program
and will include a daily walk to the ocean for some fun in the sun
and water. 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

"Ekphrasis": Visual Arts and Songwriting Camp

Ages 6-15

Students will study and explore different forms of artistic
expression, giving a voice to a form of art that cannot speak:
“ekphrasis.” They will create their own works of art and of performing
art. Together we will study songwriting, and the art
and cultural history of the Thomas Moran & Mary Nimmo
Moran Studio. Students will discover the excitement of taking
a creative concept from an idea to a fully executed piece.
