SUMMARY:Watercolor Painting in the Moran Garden
DESCRIPTION:Open to beginners and experienced watercolorists\, this immersive workshop led by artist Janet Jennings invites participants to explore the historic gardens of Thomas Moran and Mary Nimmo Moran through observation\, painting\, and creative interpretation. \nWorking on site\, students will build watercolor skills that combine structure with spontaneity. Instruction covers color mixing\, composition\, drawing\, washes\, layering\, expressive brushwork\, and fine detail\, while encouraging a looser\, more personal response to painting from nature. Participants will also learn to observe shifting light\, atmospheric color\, and the rhythm of the garden to create evocative watercolor studies. \nMeet at the Thomas and Mary Nimmo Moran Home & Studio\, 229 Main Street in East Hampton \nThe cost of this two-hour class is $100 plus costs of materials.
