SUMMARY:Guided Tour of Mulford Farm
DESCRIPTION:Visitors will have the opportunity to go inside one of East Hampton’s oldest homes and learn about the American Revolution through the eyes of the Mulford family and the enslaved Africans who lived there. Located on an original home lot in East Hampton\, the tour includes a visit to a barn built in 1720 and a traditional dooryard garden\, which is cultivated by the Garden Club of East Hampton. Just before she died\, she accused her neighbor\, Goody Elizabeth Garlick\, of sorcery. Join Town Historian\, Hugh King\, as we follow in the footsteps of Goody Garlick and explore the sites associated with witchcraft in East Hampton. \nThis walking tour starts at the Gardiner Mill Cottage Museum\, 36 James Lane\, East Hampton.  \nFree for members. $12 for Non-Members. Pre-registration required. \nRegister \nAfter the tour\, copies of Loretta Orion’s book about Goody Garlick\, It Were As Well to Please The Devil as Anger Him\, will be available to purchase for $20. SUMMARY:Hallowe'en tour of Green River Cemetery
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, October 31\, as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations\, the Springs Historical Society and Community Library will be sponsoring a free Hallowe’en tour of Green River Cemetery led by our favorite witch\, Helen Harrison\, and the most knowledgeable goblin in town\, Hugh King. The tour will start at 5:00 PM at the northern entrance to the cemetery on Accabonac Road. No reservations are required. Flashlights are recommended\, and costumes are encouraged. Learn who lies where and how they got there. \nGreen River Cemetery is located at 787 Accabonac Road in East Hampton. Since sunset is 5:45 PM\, please remember to bring a flashlight or lantern. The tour is free of charge.
