DESCRIPTION:At this year’s Landmarks Luncheon\, archeologist and historian Dr. Allison McGovern will share her insights from the Mapping Memories of Freetown Project and the Freetown Cultural Resources Survey. Her lecture will be followed by a leisurely lunch in the beautiful oceanfront setting of the Maidstone Club. Luncheon proceeds will fund future preservation projects under the aegis of the Landmarks Committee of the LVIS\, which for more than 50 years has helped maintain East Hampton’s heritage and supported historic-preservation efforts within the town\, notably as a driving force behind the creation of the East Hampton Village Historic Districts. \nTickets are available at www.LVIS.org.
