SUMMARY:Guided Tour of the Moran Studio 5/24
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided tour East Hampton’s original artist studio and learn how the Thomas and Mary Nimmo Moran transformed perceptions of nature and especially the American West during the late 19th century. You’ll tour the grounds and interior of the Studio and experience how the building functioned as a home\, artmaking studio\, and entertainment space. You’ll also learn about Thomas Moran’s painting\, Ulysses Deriding Polyphemus\, which is displayed exactly where he hung it after the Studio was built. \nMeet at 229 Main Street\, East Hampton. The tour is free for Members and $12 for Non-Members.

DESCRIPTION:During your visit\, you’ll learn how the Dominy shops and home returned to its original location where three generations of East Hampton’s most acclaimed woodworkers and craftsmen made everything from cradles to coffins in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. In addition to the restored carpentry and clockmaking shop\, you can see an array of clocks and furniture on display in the Dominy’s reconstructed house\, which now serves as an exhibition gallery. \n73 North Main Street\, East Hampton \nFree for Members and $12 for Non-Members.
